What is Placenta Encapsulation?
Medicinal placenta preservations is an ancient practice that was recently rediscovered by western medicine. Mothers across the United States are enthusiastic about the benefits they have experienced from placental consumption.
Placenta encapsulation is the practice of consuming a fresh placenta after it has been steamed, dehydrated, ground into powder form, and then placed into capsules.
The first objective of placental supplementations is to enable therapeutic rest, as well as physical and mental well-being in the mother so that she may direct her attention to caring for her baby on both a physical and soul level.

Placenta Services
Angela offers two main methods of placenta encapsulation: The Raw Method and The Gentle Method.
The Raw Method is also known as the "high yield" method as this approach produces the most amount of capsules. The placenta is sliced and dehydrated at 118 degrees for 18-24 hours. Once dried, the placenta is then ground into a powder form and filled in a vegetarian capsule. The Raw Method retains more vital enzymes, hormones, and nutrients than The Gentle Method. It provides an immediate experience of energy and is not recommended for those with a caffeine sensitivity or history of anxiety, insomnia, or diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. The Raw Method is only available the first 48 hours after delivery and is contraindicated if there are signs of infection in the mother.
The Gentle Method is inspired from a Traditional Chinese Method (TCM). The placenta is steamed with a variety of herbs and then dehydrated at 145 degrees for 8-10 hours. Clients report more balanced mood and energy when utilizing this method. The Gentle Method provides better protection against bacteria because of the high heat. There will not be as many pills supplied as compared to The Raw Method, but this is still a great option for encapsulation.
With each package purchase, Angela provides a photo of the placenta, a placenta print, and a cord keepsake if you choose!
Placenta Tincture: Tincturing the placenta is a high yield method that extends the longevity of the placental supply. In tincturing, the alcohol is used to dehydrate the placenta and can be used for immune, emotional, physical, or hormone balancing (PMS, menopause, etc.). A walnut sized piece is cut from the placenta and steeped in 100 proof vodka for 6 weeks making a strong tincture. The tincture needs to be stored in a cool, dark place and can be kept indefinitely!
Placenta Salve: There are several compounds in the placenta that are
beneficial in a topical application. Estrogen, androgens, collagens and
progesterone are provide many healing benefits. Estrogen-retains
moisture in the skin, tightens skin, reduces pores, and reverses skin
dryness. Androgens - increases cell rejuvenation, increases collagen
production, and enable skin elasticity. Collagen-supports skin health and
vascular system allowing the skin to remain hydrated and wrinkle-free.
Progesterone - strengthens the collagen and slows its breakdown.
Placenta salve can be used for:
